SEPTEMBER 2020
Important information about our season and Covid 19
Please find attached a Covid19 Planning for Clubs document from Surf Life Saving NSW. This may provide you with some more information about how the beginning of our season might look.
Your Committees are busy planning the details and will communicate them as they are decided.
Rest assured Patrols will commence as planned, Nippers are planning their activities and training and education will take place. However, there will be some changes in how all of these activities are conducted.
For example, we already have a Covid Safety Coordinator (Wayne Cavanagh), QR Code sign in (with a paper back up for those who need it) and sanitiser stations throughout the club. How we conduct Nippers may change, with more separation or perhaps even staggered times. Your Junior Activities Committee will determine the best method and advise once decided.
Use of the club rooms will be limited to patrols, training courses and the soft gear shop. The toilets will be available to members, however the showers will not be operational. Members are encouraged to use the public showers and to leave the beach promptly after activities.
Should you have any concerns about our operations this season, please do not hesitate to contact you Committee.
We will keep you informed as decisions are made. We look forward to seeing you on the beach! Regards Tracey Freeman; Secretary; Shellharbour SLSC
