|JULY 2017 || Riding the Wave|
Hi Shellharbour Surf Club Members, We are looking to introduce a new program within our club - Riding the Wave. This program is aimed at giving people with a disability the opportunity to join our surf club and to experience fun at the beach, which we all take for granted. The program is at the development stage at the moment.
We are planning a six week program in the warmer months, running on Sundays straight after nippers for one hour. This will include beach and water activities mainly in a non competitive flexible and fun environment.
Now I need your help.
The program will need volunteers on a one to one ratio using a buddy system. The more volunteers that can assist means the more participants we can have in the program.
Ideally I need SRC and Bronze holders for the water activities but if you don't have these qualifications you can still assist with land activities. I would love to see the Youth Squad put their hands up as this will be a very rewarding experience. It will also go towards Youth Development Level points.
If you would like to help please contact Dean Boyton on 0413 363 839 or email@example.com
JAC Chairperson/Club Vice President
